Valencia has two main railway stations (the two stations are separated 10 minutes walking):

Valencia Joaquin Sorolla Train Station

It is the new station for high speed trains. You can take here ONLY these long-distance trains:

• AVE: Valencia – Madrid (330km/h)
• ALVIA: Valencia - Albacete - Madrid
• ALVIA: Castellón - Valencia - Madrid
• EUROMED: Alicante - Valencia - Barcelona

Valencia Estacio del Nord Railway Station

The North Railway Station of Valencia is located in the heart of Valencia. Daily connections to Spain cities and Port Bou (French border). For more information, tickets and train schedules see RENFE, the Spanish Railway Service.

From Valencia airport to Valencia North Railway Station take metro line 3 or 5 until Xativa stop.

The Building

The North Railway Station is a modernist jewel of the city, with "Sezesión Vienesa" style, was built between 1906 and 1917 by Valencian architect Demetrio Ribes. On the front façane you can see the most typical elements of valencian culture: oranges, barracas (valencian traditional house), La Albufera (the lake), women dressed with traditional valencian dress... Inside, the decoration of the vestibule is beatiful, and then there is the iron nave over the rail roads.
