tennisThe spectacular Agora in the City of Arts and Sciences will be hosting the Valencia Open ATP 500 for another year in a row, giving the Region of Valencia another date with top-level tennis. This tournament is taking place at the first of November.

The Valencia Tennis Open is the only category 500 tournament in Spain played indoors on a fast surface. The Ágora is a spectacular multipurpose venue that can seat over 5,500 people and is part of the avant-garde City of Arts and Sciences designed by Santiago Calatrava. It provides an exceptional setting for a tournament on a par with other major events held in cities such as Washington, Tokyo, Beijing, Dubai and Barcelona. Thanks to this tournament, Valencia has secured a place for itself as one of the major events on the tennis calendar.

The Valencia Tennis Open is one of the most important tennis competitions in Spain, putting the Region of Valencia on the national and international tennis map. The Open 500, which will be taking place in Valencia until 2013, is the only ATP tournament to have ever been held in Spain on a fast indoor surface (acrylic on wood).

Since the Valencia tournament increased its category to become an ATP World Tour Open 500, the Open has not stopped achieving success. For the third consecutive year the tennis fans that come around the Agora of the City of Arts and Sciences will once again enjoy the best racket shots through the Valencia Open 500, from 29th October to 6th November.

In this year 2011, the tournament is becoming one of the most attractive Open 500 of the circuit. As it could be proved in previous editions, the Open is not only known for having some of the most important players in the international scene, but also by the magnificent setting where it is played.
